Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT Oil) are a type of triglyceride that is made up of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). MCFAs are fatty acids with a chain length of 6 to 12 carbon atoms. MCTs are broken down and metabolized differently than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), which are the most common type of triglyceride in the diet. LCTs are broken down in the small intestine by pancreatic lipase enzymes into free fatty acids and monoglycerides. The free fatty acids are then absorbed into the lymphatic system and transported to the liver.
MCTs, on the other hand, are broken down by lingual lipase, an enzyme in the saliva. This means that MCTs can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream without having to go through the lymphatic system.
Once MCTs are in the bloodstream, they are transported to the liver, where they can be used for energy or converted into ketones. Ketones are alternative energy sources that can be used by the body when glucose levels are low.

2 -4 capsule every day after the first meal or as prescribed by a physician
